Our students – Marija Majkić (team leader), Mihajlo Lukić, Iva Krstić, Lana Zlatović, Julijana Krstić, Jana Stošić, Gala Komazec, Nikola Dimitrijević, Anja Kostić, and Milena Peković – participated in an international Erasmus+ 2024-3-TR01-КА152-YOU-000289644 youth exchange in Sivas (Türkiye) from October 31 to November 7, 2025, together with young participants from Türkiye, Poland, North Macedonia, and the Netherlands.

During the seven-day stay, participants lived and worked in a multicultural environment, developing teamwork, communication, and other key competencies. The main theme of the project was reducing food waste, and the programme was based on non-formal learning – with participants designing their own workshops, challenges, presentations, and hands-on activities.

The young people compared practices from their home countries, exchanged useful tips, and explored the environmental and social impacts of food waste. Through teamwork, cultural evenings, and joint tasks, they built strong connections and gained a deeper understanding of sustainable habits and responsible citizenship.

In the final phase of the project, students created mini-campaigns, posters, “green banners,” and concepts for local activities aimed at reducing waste. These materials now serve as a foundation for continued community engagement.

Upon returning, our students carried out the dissemination of project results and held a presentation to their peers at the department, sharing their experiences and encouraging younger students to take part in future international programmes.
