GRAPHIC DESIGN

Study program Graphic design is conceived in accordance with new trends in economic and non-economic propaganda that enlarge the scope of graphic designer’s work. Modern trends in graphic design have been followed by updating syllabus and introducing subjects: graphic standards, illustration, digital graphics and photography. The course of study includes history of art, theory of contemporary art and culture, film, television and other mass media with artistic potential. The contents learned provide students with theoretical knowledge in the field of visual arts, understanding of the meaning in art, enable them to develop attitudes and to find by themselves necessary information for work and thus enhance their professional competences. In the first and second year of studies subjects are mostly obligatory. In the third year student has greater chance to choose optional subjects and specialize in this way. Students have working practice which is closely connected to their project tasks. After completing the studies students acquire the title: professional designer.
